2021 Annual Holiday Lighting
WHEN: Thru Jan. 23, 2022; 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m each night
WHERE: City & County of Denver Building
Each night, at 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., an interactive holiday show will occur for 7-9 minutes and then goes to a static holiday look until 10:45 p.m.
National Western Stock Show & Rodeo
WHEN: Jan. 8–23, 2022
WHERE: National Western Complex
Bulls and broncs, cowboys and cowgirls — rodeo’s biggest superstars perform amazing feats of athleticism during each performance of this professional rodeo. Showcasing the elegance and athleticism of the world’s top reining horses, the hard-hitting competition of Denver Professional Bull Riders Chute-Out, and the Mexican Rodeo Extravaganza, this event has something for everyone!
Arctic Prairie Dog Half & 5k/10k
WHEN: Jan. 16, 2022
WHERE: Coal Creek Golf Course, Louisville
Need some motivation to get your New Year’s fitness resolution off and running? Check a half marathon, 10k, or 5k off your list! Will it be easy? Nope. Will it be cold? Maybe. Will it be worth it? Absolutely! Special swag in store for all participants, including a souvenir pint glass, long-sleeve tee, and finisher medal!
Icelantic’s Winter on the Rocks
WHEN: Jan. 28, 2022; 7 p.m.
WHERE: Red Rocks Amphitheatre
There’s nothing like seeing a show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and it’s even more special to see one in wintertime. Get ready for some high-energy performances that will get you on your feet and dancing away the night as Icelantic’s Winter on the Rocks returns with Diplo teaming up with Sofi Tukker, plus Talib Kweli, DJ Matt Cassidy, and Jacoby.
Après in the Clouds

Nestle around a fire with the ones you love while you enliven your senses with hot beverages, plush blankets, soothing tunes, and breathtaking views of the Mile High City! Up for a challenge? Try your hand at curling, also known as “The Roaring Game,” atop Halcyon on an iceless rooftop rink.
Snow Days

WHERE: Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus
As fluffy flakes fall soundlessly to create a bed of frosted goodness, we reach back into memories of our most carefree days and embrace the magic of a winter wonderland. This new winter experience will be quintessential Colorado and provide outdoor fun for children and their families. Elements of Snow Days include a snow hill, featuring real snow for sledding, snowman building, and creative winter play; an outdoor sock-skating rink for sliding, gliding, spinning, and racing your friends; cozy fire pits and a hot cocoa bar; an ice house fishing experience; a life-size snow globe to climb in (perfect for a photo op!); giant “snowballs” for rolling and bopping; a curling rink for future Olympians and other wintry surprises!
Night Lights Denver

Night Lights Denver features rotating content designed by local artists and the community and projected on the Arapahoe Street side of the Daniels & Fisher Tower. See it for free every Tuesday through Sunday evening.
