Homestead in the Willows is a covenant controlled community nestled in the suburbs of Centennial, Colorado. Ranked as one of the top U.S. cities for first-time homebuyers by NerdWallet in 2016, the city of Centennial offers a high quality of life to its 110,000 residents. South Suburban Parks and Recreation, which manages the outdoor amenities near Homestead in the Willows, boasts an impressive number of trails and parks. During fair weather, many residents—and their canine friends—enjoy the 1.7-mile Willow Creek Trail loop, which runs through some of Colorado’s world-famous open space. The trail loop extends south from Englewood Reservoir to Homestead Elementary and back again. Beyond that, the trail winds throughout multiple neighborhoods, meandering south through Willow Creek Park and Sweetwater Park to the nearby city of Lone Tree.
